On February 17, 2011 we welcomed our precious little daughter, Elin Maeva-Rose Bradshaw, into our family. We have been blessed with two beautiful, children. Karin anxiously awaited Elin’s arrival and has been the best big sister one could ever hope for! That doesn’t mean she has been a perfect angel; four is proving to be the age of the battle of the wills . . . and her will is incredibly strong. Despite this she is kind and soft with Elin and so excited to have her in our family.
Kacy’s delivery was relatively smooth, but given that it was abdominal surgery, her recovery has been slower than she had hoped for. She had much more pain with this second delivery and had to have minor abdominal reconstruction so we feel quite confident that this will be our last child bearing experience. She is taking her maternity leave seriously and spends most of her days lying in bed holding and nursing the baby. She feels quite confident that she had earned this extended down-time coming off the completion on her Master’s degree and beginning a new career. Mommy could not be happier with her life!
Sam is working hard at work and at home trying to meet all the demands requested of him. He has been nurturing and has become quite the little chef providing approximately 95% of all meals to the family. We would starve without him . . . or at least get very tired of peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. He is amazed at just how perfect Elin is and loves having another child that looks just like him.
We are settling in to a new way of life here in Lake Oswego as a family of four and we love it!
